Urology Conference train doctors on artificial intelligence and robotics
29 September، 2023The Emirates Urological Society Conference, which is currently being held at the Conrad Dubai Hotel, was held in conjunction with the 20th Asian Conference, which Dubai is hosting for the first time in the Middle East. A series of programs and lectures were presented by associations and people specialized in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, urinary incontinence in women, and fertility and childbirth. , tumors of the urinary system, and urinary tract infections, in addition to workshops related to how to deal with kidney stones, with the participation of 75 newly graduated doctors to train them and provide them with the necessary scientific and practical experience in the field of urology.
Dr. Abdul Qader Al Zarouni, President of the Emirates Urology Association and Chairman of the Conference, said that the trained doctors in the specialty of urology then took the final exam after two days of intensive lectures.
On the other hand, a number of doctors participating in the conference praised the great efforts made in preparing for the conference, stressing that the city of Dubai is now considered one of the best cities in the world for holding such conferences.
Dr. Abdullah, Head of the Surgery Departments at King Fahad Medical City, thanked the scientific committee of the conference for carefully selecting speakers who have a long history in research and urological surgeries, which is a golden opportunity for all participants to develop their practical and practical skills and gain international experience.
Dr. Abdullah stated that kidney stones are one of the most common urinary tract diseases in the countries of the region, for reasons including lack of drinking water, high temperatures, and puppy meat, and these are causes that can be prevented, in addition to the problems of delayed childbearing, either due to late marriage or health problems in one of the partners.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Jalham, Senior Consultant in Urology at Hamad Hospital in the State of Qatar, praised that the most important feature of the conference is that it is held in the Emirate of Dubai, which is known for the success of its conferences and the large number of participants.
He said that the training workshops that were held on the sidelines of the conference are an opportunity for residency doctors to develop their skills on how to deal with robots that have now entered various specialties, including urology surgeries, in addition to introducing them to artificial intelligence and the major role that it will play in the future in various sectors, including the medical sector.
He added that what distinguished this year’s conference was the large number of companies participating in the exhibition that were keen to present their latest and latest medical products, especially since most international companies are looking to the Dubai market as an entry gateway to the Gulf markets that are witnessing a qualitative boom in the growth of the health care sector.
