Sharjah, February 22, 2024: In its continuous endeavor to broaden marketing and sales channels for the publications of its member publishers and streamline their distribution to readers in the UAE and the region, Menassah Distribution Company participated in the ‘University of Sharjah Book Fair,’ part of the activities of the ninth ‘We All Read’ initiatives organised by the university’s Deanship of Student Affairs. Moreover, Menassah Distribution Company is currently participating in the 2024 ‘Muscat International Book Fair,’ which commenced on February 21 and runs until 2 March.


This is the second consecutive year that Menassah is participating in the University of Sharjah Book Fair as part of its ongoing collaboration with the university. The goal is to offer a diverse selection of high-quality Emirati publications, providing enriching content tailored to the needs of female university students. This partnership aims to facilitate access to valuable information, enhancing students’ university experience and fostering career development.


In collaboration with Al-Qasimi Publications and Dar Al-Kutub, the book fair took place from 13 – 14 February and featured the most prominent publications from 67 member publishers. With approximately 5,011 books contributed, including 1,173 diverse titles spanning novels, historical stories, world literature, self-development and management books, as well as children’s books, the selection was carefully curated to cater not only to the preferences of female university students but also to meet the interests of their family members.


The book fair celebrated the creative achievements of literary talents at the university, featuring book signings by 10 female students whose works were published during their university studies. Additionally, the event hosted five literary workshops and lectures that attracted a significant number of female students, and seven interactive competitions added an inspiring atmosphere to the exhibition, drawing the participation of 30 publishing houses.


Menassah Distribution Company reiterated its commitment to continued collaboration with the University Deanship to ensure the success of the annual fair, seeking to enrich the event with carefully selected books in cooperation with the company’s publishing members. This effort facilitates access to publications for female university students and fosters a culture of reading and sustaining knowledge.


Highlighting the importance of its presence at the book fair, Menassah underscored its role in bolstering the publishing sector in the UAE. Participating publishing houses actively aimed to attract talents from among the female students and offer them opportunities for their creative works to be acknowledged.


Regarding the Menassah pavilion at the 2024 Muscat International Book Fair, 4,940 books were presented from 64 publishing houses of the company’s members. This collection included a valuable selection of distinguished publications, comprising 800 titles across various literary and cognitive genres, locally produced to meet the needs of the Omani book market.


Menassah continues to support Emirati publishers by ensuring the efficient delivery of locally produced books to readers. Dubai February 22, 2024: The UAE is taking a significant step forward in the global fight against antibiotic resistance by hosting the 7th UAE International Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance (ICAMR).

Organized by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Emirates Health Services (EHS), and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, the conference is set to take place in Dubai on February 23 and 24.

The event aims to foster an environment conducive to expertise sharing and discussion, promote advancements in health services, and emphasize the importance of continuous education and innovation in healthcare. Held under the patronage of HE Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, the conference is expected to draw over 600 professionals, including doctors, consultants, nurses, and technicians from the UAE and 18 other countries.

Additionally, 15 leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies dedicated to the fight against antimicrobial resistance will participate. The conference will feature more than 38 international experts delivering 32 specialized lectures and engaging participants in interactive workshops.

Negotiations are underway by an Emirati comany group regarding the sale of a luxurious property worth AED 250 million on Palm Jumeirah Island, while considering two other deals to sell properties in Dubai for AED 985 million.

These real estate deals by the Emirati copany group come amidst increasing interest from global investors in relocating their headquarters and settling in Dubai due to its advanced infrastructure, logistical services, and the assurance and security it provides for investors at the personal as well as professional level, making it at once a global destination for investment, work, and living.

An international entity is negotiating with the Emirati family to purchase a luxurious residential property on Palm Jumeirah, as they seek to own a residence in the vibrant city of Dubai.


The negotiations pertain to three properties on Palm Jumeirah. Each has its own features and uniqueness. The first property is a villa located in the frond (J), with an area of 30,000 square feet featuring four wings, each containing three bedrooms, along with various amenities such as a cinema room, swimming pool, gym, Turkish bath, and other services, valued at AED 250 million, including the villa and all its contents, and the deal seems imminent.


The second property is “Seabird Residence,” directly overlooking the “West Beach,” serving as the family’s private residence, combining tradition and modernity. The property includes reception halls and twelve luxurious suites, each consisting of four bedrooms, lounges, and dining rooms. This property represents an unprecedented revolution in the construction world, with negotiations revolving around its value estimated at AED 900 million for the building, which consists of 10 floors and two floors for parking, with 100 parking spaces.


The third property is the iconic “C84” villa on Palm Jumeirah, designed by “XBD” company, situated in frond C, featuring multiple living rooms, five bedrooms, a kitchen, an office, as well as a relaxation and play area. This property is valued at AED 85 million with all its furnishings, and it is expected to be completed with all construction and finishing works and ready before the end of 2024.


These discussions and their potential outcomes highlight the growing attractiveness of Dubai and the global interest in its prime locations and luxurious properties, making it an ideal choice for investment and settlement. These three deals also confirm the significant surge experienced by the real estate market in Dubai over the past five years, reaching its peak in 2023, with deals breaking records in values.


Estimations suggest that this peak will not subside soon and will continue for another period, benefiting from local and external factors that support attracting the wealthy from all over the world.
