The 21st Emirates Critical Care Conference in parallel to the 2nd World Summit of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care kicks off on Friday in Dubai

The 21st  Emirates Critical Care Conference in parallel to the 2nd World Summit of the World Federation of Intensive Care and Critical Care (WFICC) kicked off in Dubai this morning at the InterContinental Festival City Hotel, in parallel with the 7th Global Network for Emergency Medicine – GNEM along with 16th Asia Africa Conference of the World Federation of Intensive and

Critical Care (WFICC) and in collaboration with the Seventh Conference of the Emirates Nursing Association – Critical Care chapter and the 20th World Conference of Critical Care Nurses (WFCCN) World Congress and in conjunction with the 21st IInternational Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society Conference (IPACCMS).

Prof. Dr. Hussein Al Rahma, Founding President of the Emirates Critical Care Conference, Founding President of the Emirates Intensive Care Association (EICS), President of the Arab International Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Member of the Emirates Resuscitation Council, Chairman of the Conference, said that the conference, which began in 2004 with the participation of 300 doctors and nurses, is today the first in the Middle East and North Africa and the third in the world, and now attracts annually more than 2000 participants from different countries of the world, which  this year reached 45 countries.

 

Prof. Hussain Al Rahma stated that the conference, organized by Info Plus Events, currently attracts 60% of the international medical association, pointing out that he is looking forward to the participation of more than 90% of international associations in 2028, especially in light of the great development that the conference witnesses annually, both in the number of international lecturers and the quality of scientific papers that are discussed and the workshops accompanying the conference, pointing out that the conference aims to gather elite doctors, specialists and researchers with experience in the field of care medicine. Focused and critical in the Middle East and the world to exchange experiences, in addition to discussing the techniques used in artificial respiration and the latest drugs as well as the findings of critical care science.

The President of the Conference indicated that the activities of the conference include 275 speakers, including 130 international speakers, in addition to 80 speakers from within the country, and the number of lectures that will be reviewed throughout the three days reaches 381 lectures in 77 scientific sessions, in addition to 4 scientific workshops, 4 training courses, 131 scientific research for doctors and resident doctors, and 6 seminars for the industrial sector, pointing out that all the scientific papers that will be discussed by the conferees are a summary of the experiences and research reached by critical care doctors. In various topics such as septicemia, infection, fluids in the intensive care unit, nephrology and acute kidney injury, artificial ventilation, acute respiratory distress syndrome, anesthesia and pain management, cardiology, nutrition, the elderly, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and infection surveillance to share with attendees to share experiences, best practices and treatment protocols they have reached over the past years, conference participants will receive 22.5 credit hours by the Dubai Health Authority.

The conference witnessed the signing of three memorandums of understanding, the first with the International Federation of Intensive Care Societies, the second with the International Federation of Intensive Care Nursing, and the third with the International Academy of Fluids in critical care departments.

After that, the conference, accompanied by Dr. Younis Kazim from DHA and the attendees, inaugurated the exhibition accompanying the conference with the participation of 34 international and local companies specialized in critical care devices and ventilators to present the latest discoveries and products in the field of critical care medicine at the conference, especially since Dubai is a market for all international companies that are looking to develop and grow, especially in the region’s markets.
