The Department of Finance in Ajman Achieves Three New ISO Certifications in Governance, Partnership Management, and Competency Training

Raising its international quality certification count to 11
Ajman,16th December 2024: The Department of Finance in Ajman continues its strategic approach, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of its performance across various areas of operation in line with international best practices. The Department has added three new certifications to its record of excellence from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in recognition of its compliance with the ISO 44001, ISO 10015, and ISO 37000:2021 standards.
ISO 44001 focuses on assessing the requirements of the partnership management system within the department, to ensure the effective development and management of its relationships with partners, to achieve the shared objectives of all stakeholders. The ISO 10015 standard provides a framework for the continuous evaluation and development of the Department’s competency management and training system, ensuring that training programs are aligned with the needs of its staff and strategic objectives.
Recognising the importance of institutional governance in achieving sound management, the Department of Finance in Ajman has embraced the principles of good governance in accordance with the ISO 37000:2021 standards. This enables the department to optimise resource utilisation, achieve sustainable growth, and improve the efficiency of operations management, ultimately fortifying the confidence of all clients and partners in its services.
His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Finance in Ajman, praised the sincere and committed efforts of the task forces that played a pivotal role in obtaining the three certifications, marking a new strategic achievement, which reflects their commitment to the highest standards of quality and performance excellence.
He said: ” At the Department of Finance in Ajman, we always strive to build sustainable relationships with our partners from various local and federal government agencies, as well as the private sector. These relationships are based on the principles of complementarity and mutual benefit, contributing to enhancing the overall performance of government operations in the Emirate, providing the best services to meet the aspirations of our clients, and ultimately improving the quality of life in the Emirate, thereby increasing its competitiveness. By implementing the ISO 44001 International Partnership Management Standard, we will be
able to periodically assess our partnerships, develop effective plans to continuously improve them, and ensure added value for our partners in various joint ventures.”
He also emphasised that the Department’s certification of ISO 10015 reflects its strong commitment to providing an optimal working environment for its staff, as they are the key drivers of its success. The department follows an effective framework for assessing and developing its human capital by creating high-quality training programs that ensure the professional development of its staff, providing them with the necessary knowledge to refine their skills, enabling them to perform their tasks efficiently. This, in turn, enhances the quality and productivity of work.
Al Ali added that the attainment of ISO 37000:2021 reflects the leadership’s commitment to applying the principles and tools of effective governance, which standardise the frameworks and methodologies of activities across the Department. This enhances its capacity to achieve strategic objectives and deliver added value to all relevant stakeholders, to develop the Emirate’s financial resources efficiently and improve its competitiveness.
These three certificates represent a significant addition to the department’s collection of global quality certifications, which previously included eight certificates: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 10002:2018, ISO 31000:2018, Business Continuity Management System ISO 22301:2019, NCEMA 7000:2021, ISO 27001:2013, Integrated Management System PASS 99:2012, and HRMS – Polarization and Recruitment ISO 30405.
