The fifth Dubai Shoulder Surgery Exhibition and Exhibition, organized by the Emirates Orthopedic Division in cooperation with the Arab Shoulder Society, kicked off at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), with the attendance of 650 doctors and specialized consultants from 18 countries. The course aims to introduce new strategies to provide physicians with the highest levels of analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic practices for laparoscopic shoulder surgery and is organized by Infoplus Events.

Dr. Saeed Al-Thani, President of the Arab Society for Shoulder and Attachment, Consultant Orthopedic Surgery, Medical Endoscopy, Sports Medicine and Joint Reconstruction, said that the topics and lectures that will be discussed throughout the days of the session that the scientific program includes 16 scientific sessions, 85 lectures, four live surgeries and 3 workshops for operations on 10 bodies brought from abroad to train doctors and provide them with international skills and experiences, in addition to a physiotherapy workshop and 3 seminars for the industrial sector with the participation of more than 15 companies of the most important companies Pharmaceutical and medical devices industry as sponsors of the conference, pointing out that the course will discuss the review of new principles and techniques, injuries around the shoulder, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, joint implants, fracture management and complex causes of the shoulder, stressing that the doctors participating in the course will receive 19. 25 hours of training approved by the Dubai Health Authority.
He explained that the course will also discuss technological developments and introduce modern techniques in the field of shoulder surgery such as joint design, the use of a three-dimensional printer, and innovation in robotic surgeries, and difficult cases will be presented to be discussed, in addition to seminars and workshops to train doctors on the best ways to replace joints, in addition to discussing the latest global developments in sports medicine and joint reimplantation, and the specifications required for each region, pointing out that the anatomy of the Asian patient is different from the Western or European patient and therefore It is imperative to design special things for the Middle Eastern patient that suit a special environment.
Dr. Ali Maqdis, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder at Kuwait Oil Hospital, Department of Orthopedics, said that the course aims to create a platform that brings together a group of doctors and specialists in shoulder surgery from around the world under one roof to discuss modern developments and techniques in the treatment of orthopedic diseases. He stressed that the course continues to occupy the forefront as an ideal platform in the region that allows communication and interaction between companies supplying prosthetics and doctors from the region and the world.
He pointed out that the course will include multiple topics such as comprehensive information learning, live demonstrations, group discussions, in addition to workshops and industrial seminars, with the aim of providing an educational program that allows specialists from academics and industries to follow the latest research and rapid developments in this field.
