Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the Dubai Metro services would return to normalcy at stations impacted by the recent extreme weather condition, known as the “Hadeer” Storm, as of May 28th. On Passive, Equity, Mashreq, and Energy Metro stations would resume normal operations upon completing all the maintenance and safety tests to ensure that the stations are ready to operate at the highest standards and efficiency.
RTA is keen to swiftly restore Dubai Metro services at the affected stations to their normal state, ensure the safety & security of passengers and assets, and deliver seamless transport services in line with the top international practices. These efforts are coordinated with Keolis and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the companies in charge of the operation and maintenance of the Dubai Metro.
In the meantime, RTA will continue deploying direct bus services consisting of more than 150 buses until the resumption of normal metro operations on three routes during metro operation hours. These buses serve passengers commuting between the Business Bay Metro Station to On Passive, Mall of the Emirates, Mashreq, Equity, Dubai Internet City, and Al Khail Metro Stations.
