With the participation of 2000 doctors and nurses from 42 countries

 

From 10 to 12 May, Dubai hosts the 20th Emirates Critical Care Conference and the first World Summit of the World Federation of Intensive Care and Critical Care summit at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel, with the participation of more than 2,000 medical and nursing staff from 42 countries, and more than 45 scientific medical societies to highlight the latest technologies used in artificial respiration and the latest medicines, as well as the latest critical care science.

 

Dr. Hussain Nasser Al Rahma, Consultant Emergency Medicine, Chairman of the Conference, President of the Arab International Society of Brand Care Medicine and Vice President of the Global Network of Emergency Medicine, said the conference will be in parallel with the Sixth Global Network for Emergency Medicine and in cooperation with the Sixth Conference of the Emirates Nursing Association – Critical Care Branch and the Nineteenth World Congress of Critical Care Nurses) and in conjunction with the Fifth Neucritical Care Meeting – Middle East and North Africa Countries Chapter For the Neurocritical Care Society, the Twentieth Arab International Society of Critical Care Congress – and the Fifteenth Congress of the Society for Critical and Intensive Care – WFICC in Asia and Africa.

He said the events aims to bring together elite doctors, specialists and researchers with experience in the field of intensive care and critical care medicine in the Middle East and the world to exchange experiences, discuss the latest advanced technologies and keep pace with innovations and research applied globally.

 

He explained that the conference activities include 301 speakers, including 142 international speakers, 69 regional speakers, in addition to 90 speakers from within the country, pointing out that the number of lectures that will be reviewed throughout the three days reaches 310 lectures in 81 scientific sessions, in addition to 8 scientific workshops, 5 training courses, 87 scientific research for doctors and resident doctors, and 6 seminars for the industrial sector, pointing out that on the sidelines of the conference, a number of agreements will be signed. Quality with a number of international bodies that will benefit all parties.

 

He pointed out that the Ministry of Health and Prevention will hold a special workshop on brain death during which direct guidance and guidance for declaring death with neurological criteria (brain death) will be provided, especially since policies and practices vary greatly around the world, which increases the risk of false declarations of brain death and erodes public confidence in our ability to reliably identify death. Therefore, there is a great need for healthcare providers to improve practices related to declaring brain death.

Dr. Al Rahma stressed the importance of the conference, especially since the scientific papers that will be discussed are a summary of the experiences and research reached by critical care and accident doctors, and to share them with the attendees to exchange experiences, best practices and treatment protocols that they have reached since the outbreak of the pandemic.

 

40 international and local companies specialized in critical care devices and ventilators will participate in the event to showcase the latest discoveries and products in the field of critical care medicine.

The Scientific and Regulatory Committee includes 25 doctors in addition to 301 regional and international lecturers.

 

Throughout the conference, lectures will be delivered on topics related to septicemia, infection, fluids in the intensive care unit, nephrology and acute kidney injury, artificial ventilation, acute respiratory distress syndrome, surgery/trauma, anesthesia and pain management, cardiacology, nutrition, the elderly, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and infection surveillance.
